Ethiopian Airlines today unveiled its ambitious expansion plan with the launch of a new air route between Addis Ababa – Bole and Dhaka-Hazrat Shahjalal in Bangladesh. The inaugural flight is scheduled for March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day.
The launch of this new route is just the first step in the airline’s ambitious expansion plans. Ethiopian Airlines plans to introduce daily flights to the Bangladeshi capital to meet the growing demand for travel between the two regions.
The announcement of this new development was accompanied by the signing of a historic air service agreement during the International Civil Aviation Conference (ICAN2023) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This partnership marks an enhanced collaboration between the Ethiopian and Bangladeshi aviation authorities, laying the foundation for fruitful cooperation in the field of aviation.
As a reminder, Ethiopian Airlines already serves cargo flights to Dhaka, but on a non-regular basis.
