Ethiopian Airlines is further expanding its pan-African network with the announcement of a new air route which will connect Addis Ababa – Bole to Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, with a stopover in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). This new route, which marks an important milestone in the airline’s expansion program in West Africa, is scheduled to be inaugurated on May 31, 2024.
According to Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, this initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen connectivity between different regions of Africa, facilitating business and leisure travel across the continent. The new route is designed to meet the growing demand for direct and efficient air connections in the region.
The service, offered three times a week, will benefit from one of the most advanced and comfortable aircraft in the Ethiopian Airlines fleet, namely the Boeing 787-800, promising passengers an exceptional flying experience. The Dreamliner is renowned for its superior comfort, spacious cabin and advanced air filtration system, ensuring an enjoyable and relaxing journey.
