In response to the continued growth in demand for air travel in Africa, Emirates has revealed plans to ramp up its operations on the continent, starting with a daily flight between Dubai and Addis Ababa from 1 January 2025. The new service cadence cements Addis Ababa as a key hub for Emirates in its African expansion strategy, alongside other major hubs such as Entebbe and Johannesburg.
To serve this route, Emirates has selected the Boeing 777-300ER, an aircraft that offers maximum comfort and superior efficiency on long-haul flights.
In addition to the increase in its Addis Ababa-Bole service, passengers will benefit from convenient connections in Dubai to a range of popular destinations. Options include cities such as Montreal and Toronto in Canada, New York, Miami, Dallas and Chicago in the US, Mumbai in India, and London in the UK.
