For Ethiopian Airlines, ambitions have no end! A pioneer in African air transport, the company has just enriched its fleet with a technological jewel, the Airbus A350-1000. The acquisition of this first A350-1000 paves the way for the future integration of many other aircraft of the same family.
Painted in the bright colors of the slogan “Ethiopian Land of Origins”, the new aircraft is already in service by serving several strategic routes from the main hub in Addis Ababa Bole, connecting key destinations in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Its inaugural flight took place on November 7th and was scheduled to Lagos, Nigeria. Subsequently, the aircraft continued to weave its web to Accra in Ghana, Paris in France and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Shortly after, it added to its flight log the cities of Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania.
In the near future, Ethiopian Airlines plans to use this new widebody aircraft for direct flights between Addis Ababa Bole (ADD) and Washington Dulles (IAD) in the United States.
