Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, the specialized freight transport division of Ethiopian Airlines, has announced the launch of a new online reservation service for air freight transport.
This digital service, accessible from the cargobooking.ethiopianairlines.com platform, “allows customers to check flight schedules, space availability, cargo loading capacity and to book their shipment in real time”.
“We are pleased to provide our customers with hands-on experience in booking air cargo. We are committed to going the long way to eliminate paper from the entire air cargo process by digitizing the logistics value chain, ”said Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam.
The implementation of this innovation constitutes a significant step forward in the process of gradual migration towards the digitization of the services of the group, which recently launched, thanks to a partnership with CarTrawler, an online car rental offer.
Freight shipments should therefore be more convenient, eliminating paperwork and reducing physical contact. This could strengthen the operational performance of the group and contribute to the effectiveness of its policy in terms of sustainability.
