Ethiopian Airlines will soon land in Washington, serving direct flights from its base at Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport in Lomé.
The inaugural flight between the two destinations will take place at the beginning of next June. Ethiopian Airlines plans to operate three weekly frequencies using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
It should be noted that the national airline of Ethiopia already serves flights to Washington. However, its flights to the US destination include a stopover in Dublin, Ireland.
Flights between Lomé and Washington are scheduled every Wednesday, departing at 12:35 p.m. and landing at the American airport at 7:20 p.m. The return flight will take off the same day at 9:15 p.m. and land at the Ethiopian airport the next day at 11:55 a.m.
