Several direct flights per week connect Sharjah (SHJ) to Addis Ababa (ADD), the capital of Ethiopia, starting this month. They are provided by the Air Arabia company, which is also throwing itself into the battle of long-haul low-cost on the transatlantic axis.
A new player in low-cost air travel is arriving at the Ethiopian airport. Air Arabia will inaugurate its new connection between Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia on January 30.
Three weekly flights to Addis Ababa Bole
To the international airport of the capital of Ethiopia, there are six flights per week planned with scheduled takeoffs from Sharjah on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday and from Addis Ababa (return flight) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The low-cost company is advertising round trips at less than 800 AED (28,000 ETB).
“We are launching this new long-haul route to provide Emirati and Ethiopian customers with more choice in flights across both continents of Africa and Asia,” said Adel Al Ali, Chairman and CEO of Air Arabia.
